Hi there, I’m Aaron Hockley. I use photography to tell stories and share imagery of the world. My photography has won international awards, been published in numerous publications (both traditional and online), and I’ve licensed photos for use by organizations of all sizes… from small local nonprofits to widely-recognized entities such as Sports Illustrated and National Geographic.
Based in Vancouver, Washington (just outside Portland Oregon), I work with a variety of businesses and individuals to capture their world and tell their tales via photographs, whether that be business portraits or headshots, photographs of events, or other commercial work. My clients include high-tech conferences, theater-style speaking events, fundraising parties, a medical office, a multi-billion dollar communications company, a leader in the cloud hosting market, and a variety of individuals and couples.
My goal is to know my clients and create images which help tell their story. Each client is unique and I bring my technical and artistic skills to your situation.
In addition to specific work for clients, I also license my work for other purposes.
I’m a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and adhere to their code of ethics. I believe in professionalism while working with others – but that doesn’t mean we’re not going to have fun. I currently serve on the board of directors for the Oregon Professional Photographers Association, the local PPA affiliate.
When not creating images for clients, I enjoy traveling, creating various images as I wander around. In November 2011, I published Alcatraz Views, a collection of images and stories from “The Rock.”
